2014 club calendar of activities - provisional

Hi guys and gals,

As we gear up to reconnect at BRC Club Nite this Saturday 30th November from 6pm @ Offroad club on Langata Road do remember we’re looking at getting your input on the Club calendar of activities for 2014.  We’ve organized some Nyama Choma and it’s sure to be a super evening! Let’s get together and have a nice one.

P.S.  Do remember to pop by Subarufest which will be happening just across the road at the carnivore grounds in the earlier part of the day.  Come out in your BRC attire and let’s enjoy some ‘onroad action

Bundu Rovers Club Nite - Saturday 30th November 6pm at Off-Road Club, Langata Rd

Hi guys n gals,

How you doing? From those hard at work to those following the classic rally or something else on the circuit we hope you're doing well.

We shared a call on Face Book and Twitter this past weekend for us to come hang out with the street cars aka Subarus @ Subarufest which happens this Saturday the 30th at the Carnivore grounds and then follow-up with Club Nite - our BRC social hang out which hasn't happened for a bit.

We think its important to meet and catch up, do a quick recap of the year's action so far, maybe see if we can have a last trip out for a night in dec (Nanyuki or somewhere nice like that over Jamhuri day) and more importantly to also share plans for the 2014 club calendar of activities and get critical input from each one of us for better success and fun for the club.

If you can make time and swing by it would be really super, holler/text at us on 0713 802 641 in case you need any more info. For those who'll make it to Subarufest please represent and make some Landy noise on that side!

Cheers

Bundu Rovers EcoChallenge 1

Hi,

July weather is well and truly with us and to keep things warm we have a very competitive fun challenge coming up on July 14th.   You need to get together with 3 other pals to enter this one, all details are included in the entry form, the entries window closes on the 30th of June so not that much time to put together a team and get set for a fun day! The team vehicle does not have to be modified, just roadworthy!  We are especially looking out to see if the Range Rover vs Discovery vs Defender battles will take the day or will these machines be upstaged by a Pajero or X-trail? You may be the one to decide….

Cheers!

Rhinocharge 2013 and other May events

Hi guys,

You all probably know Rhinocharge 2013 is around the corner at the end of this month. We also have a charity event taking place on the 18th of May at Charter Hall organized by our very own “African Lioness” and hard-core Bundu Rovers Club member – Berna!  Just to get us all on board we have a briefing this coming Sunday (12th May) 3pm to 5pm at the Caribea Restaurant on Komo Lane off wood avenue/argwings kodhek junction after yaya centre.  Berna will tell us more about the event on the 18th and how we can support this initiative and we will also have a chance to get more info about the rhinocharge package on offer to Bundu Rovers Club – with basic rates from 4,000 per person self drive and own tents.   Feel free to holler even before then if you want more info.

Cheers

Rhino Charge 2013 GENERAL RELEASE

E-SHOT – 30 April 2013

Changes to the structure of the Landowners Access Fee (LAF) & spectators’ wristband charges – RC2013

The Landowners Access Fee (LAF) will be replaced with a Vehicle Access Fee (VAF) with immediate effect.

The Vehicle Access Fee (VAF) for RC2013 varies depending on the type of vehicle entering the venue as follows:

  • Car / 4WD                            KES 10,000/- per vehicle
  • Mini bus                               KES 15,000/- per vehicle
  • Rosa Type bus                   KES 30,000/- per vehicle
  • Big bus/over lander        KES 50,000/- per vehicle

All spectator wristband charges are abolished but every vehicle entering the venue will have to pay the applicable Vehicle Access Fee (VAF) listed above including spectator’s vehicles that only enter the venue on the day of the event. Upon payment of the Vehicle Access Fee (VAF), each passenger will be issued with a wristband free of charge.  The wristbands will only be used as an access control tool.

The reasons for these changes in the charging structure of the event are twofold;

  1. To simplify the logistics surrounding revenue collection by only having a single point of payment;
  2. To generate a new revenue stream for Rhino Ark in order to halt the widening gap between expense & income created by high inflation, whilst simultaneously maintaining our commitment to the landowners.
