Celebrating the Green Ranger

• We have the Green Ranger tree planting taking place at 9am in the vicinity of Mombasa road so those able to get up early and make it for that need to be at the East Gate (entrance off Mombasa rd, African Heritage opposite Sameer Business Park) 
• The drive through the park then follows culminating at the BBQ base which is the Kingfisher Picnic site from 12noon onwards!
• Please confirm your attendance - those who come in for the tree planting don't pay park entry fees & I need numbers so that our entry passes can be processed. Remember the BBQ has a cover charge of 500 per person (watoto under 12 ni sare/free) and you carry own drinks and snacks.  Do the math for your car-load and send mpesa to 0713736153 plus text with your passenger numbers. 

Land Rover DC100

Now that is has been unveiled its time to ask the hardcore Land Rover people, I am talking especially about the Defender die-hards, what they think of the possible replacement for Defender as we know it!   The DC100 was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motorshow – while some of us could not even spot a decent Defender @ the just ended Total Motorshow – and it looks like we are much closer to the end of an epoch  for Land Rover! Come 2015 and I shall just have to have two Defenders, the golden oldie and the new kid on the block! Hmmh… I wonder what all my pals with Disco’s and RR’s will do, not to mention my good friend with the American muscle…Bob Kaugi.  Hehehehe, let’s wait and see!

 

That one time your rover let you down!

We all sing the praises of our rovers and blast off any other vehicle make, its part of the culture when you are experiencing true freedom with the best 4x4 ever made.  All said there are those days when it takes divine intervention to stop you opening the doors and throwing in a petrol bomb!  We want to share the best of the worst moments so take a deep breath and unleash some of your “urghh” moments! Trust me, it’ll be therapeutic too for the rest of the community!  J

One question every land rover enthusiast asks is “where did you get that job done?” and aren’t we ever so happy to share the ‘good news’ and help a buddy out? Well, here are some guys who will be only too glad to help sort out issues you may be having with your rover!  If your favourite rover mech isn’t on that listing then you need to do something about it and let us know asap! Great day out in Lukenya!

What do you get when you put together the best four by four vehicle family - Defender, Discovery and Range Rover on the planet and a couple of guys out to enjoy the great Kenyan outdoors together? Passionate fun! Clambering around the quarry sand in Lukenya was great and so much more!   Who said you have to drive to the sahara to get a feel of what driving through sand dunes is all about! Great company and a lovely time doing the gauntlet hill! What more could one expect out of a Bundu Rovers Club drive out! Thanks all the cousins who turned up and made the day that much more fun!
